Q:Do birds do well in apartments?
A: Some do, others do not. Most of the birds we sell are okay for apartments. Make sure to check with your apartment manager prior to any avian purchases.
Q:Are your birds hand-fed and hand-tame?
A: All the babies we sell are hand-fed and hand-tame. We will always specify if otherwise.
Q:Where are you located?
A: We are locatated in Central Texas.
Q:Do you offer shipping?
A: No we do not. We believe that this is an unsafe practice. Shipping is highly stressful on all avian creatures, whose heartrate is fast as it is. It is better to personally view a bird prior to purchase so that you know that you will recieve what you paid for.
Q:What type of food do you feed your birds?
A: As babies, the birds are fed Kaytee Exact Hand Feeding Formula For All Baby Birds. For weaning and regular feeding, I feed 8-n-1 Wild Harvest Blend, fruits, veggies and plain pasta.
Q:Do you have babies all year long?
A: We try to have babies year round, however, sometimes, the bird disagrees. Cockatiels usually breed all year long, and we will have them available.
Q:Is it okay to feed my bird water through a syringe?
A: Only if you feed the bird a small amount, depending on the size. For the birds we sell, the amount would be 1 - 2ccs. This allows room for food. Talk to your avain vet for more information on this issue.
